When style, design, and technology meet, beautiful things happen! We’re delighted to have San Diego Mesa College Fashion Program participating in Maker Faire San Diego! Last night, following the awe and furor around the fiber optic gown on worn by actress Claire Danes at the Met Gala in New York City, the Mesa College Technology and Fashion class was featured on CBS 8. They’ll be utilizing Adafruit’s FLORA boards, NeoPixels, EL Wire, and more to create one-of-a-kind pieces to showcase. It’s exciting to see just how far makers are taking new materials and what creative pieces technology inspires, or what forms of art inspire technology. We can’t wait to see what they’ll bring to Maker Faire San Diego in October 2016!
